Fish and bird feeding is COMPLEMENTARY.

Blackheath Whiskers are first aid trained and experienced in administering oral medications, eye/ear drops to cats or small pets.

Key collection & drop off
Blackheath Whiskers require you to bring your keys to us before you go away. This is preferably at a time we are home so we can say hello and meet face to face 🤗.
Your keys are kept safe and secure in our home which has a burglar alarm.
We post your keys through your letter box or lock safe on our last visit, unless advised otherwise.
Alternatively, for a fee, we can arrange at a mutually convenient time to collect and/or drop off keys.

Secondly, we ensure your home is secure when we leave, programming your burglar alarm where necessary.
Should you wish for us to close curtains or shutters, or leave certain lights on, please advise at the time of booking.

Charlotte and Oliver try to be environmentally friendly, we recycle and use eco friendly products.
When we feed your pets, we tend to walk or cycle, unless it is torrential rain.
Do you know cycling saves 90% CO2 emissions over driving? It also keeps us fit.🚴🚴♀️
What is your experience with cats & other pets?
Charlotte grew up with family pets including cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, and her cousins lived on a dairy farm.
Charlotte adopted Tim from the Cat Protection charity when he was approximately three years old. He is a super softy. 😻
Prior to Tim, we had Leo, a fluffy, gorgeous, friendly puss, also from Cats Protection.
Oliver’s pride and joy at age five was Twiggles, a super cute Russian dwarf hamster with grey and white fur. 🐹
I had two resilient goldfishes who were twenty years old when they went to fishy heaven. 🐠🐠
How much time is spent with my cat?
Blackheath Whiskers cat sitting spend at least 15 minutes per feed but as Oliver absolutely loves cats, it is likely to be much longer!
There will be plenty of time for chin tickles, tummy rubs, play time (only if they want this!).
We feed your pet, change their water, clean the litter tray, and administer medication, if required, ensuring a clean space.
What other pets do you look after?
Blackheath Whiskers feed and care for many pets. We are not limited to cats.
We look after rabbits, tortoises, reptiles, fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, stick insects and much more 🐰🐹🐾🐟🐟🐠
My cat needs medicine, can you help?

Wish to apply for a job at Blackheath Whiskers?
Blackheath Whiskers cat sitting occasionally need help during peak times, school holidays, and bank holidays.
We would manage the administration and your role would be to visit the cat(s) in their home and feed and water them, clean their litter tray and have playtime.
You would be responsible for your own travel and be available to cover some Bank holidays, Christmas and Easter, and school holidays. You would be self employed and responsible for your own taxes and NI. This would be an ad-hoc role.

Do You Use an Automatic Cat Feeder?
Blackheath Whiskers cat sitting do not use automatic cat feeders, we provide a personal cat sitting service in your home whilst you are away.
We believe that a cat needs love and attention and this is provided by our friendly, local and personal cat sitting service.
Automatic cat feeders may be unreliable, temperamental. They could fail to work resulting in a hungry and unhappy cat.
It is for this reason, we can’t accommodate requests to use an automatic cat feeder in conjunction with our cat feeding services.
Cost of emergency food/litter supplies?
Blackheath Whiskers cat sitting require that all cat food, litter, bags, etc are provided in advance of our cat sitting services.
In the event, we need to purchase emmegency supplies, we charge £30 plus cost of supplies plus delivery for this service.

Blackheath Whiskers cat sitting has already established a trustworthy and reliable local reputation.
Due to school and bank holidays, everyone has a tendency to go away at the same time. ⛱️🌞🍦
To avoid disappointment, Blackheath Whiskers always recommend booking our cat sitting services in advance.
We always try and cater for everyone but prioritise our regular customers and kitties and those who secure bookings in advance to ensure fairness.
* We charge double, £30 per feed over bank holiday weekends (Friday to Monday inclusive), and over Easter (Friday to Monday inclusive), and Christmas holiday period.
* We charge £18 per feed during school holidays, categorised as peak times.
