Our Story: A Family Business with a Passion for Cats
Blackheath Whiskers is a local, family-run cat-sitting service founded by a mother and son team in Blackheath, Charlton, and Greenwich.
Our journey began with Tim, our rescue cat, whom I adopted when I was pregnant with my son, Oliver. As Oliver grew up, his love for cats only deepened, inspiring him to help care for them professionally.
Now a teenager, Oliver is proud to combine his passion for animals with a commitment to helping other cats in need.
We also care deeply about the environment. That’s why we cycle to all our cat-sitting visits, reducing our carbon footprint and keeping our service as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.

How Our Donations Help Cats in Need
Every time you book a visit with us, we donate 50p directly to Cats Protection, which helps to:
Rescue and rehome abandoned cats
Provide essential veterinary care (such as vaccinations, microchipping, and neutering)
Run education programs to promote responsible pet ownership
Support trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs to manage stray cat populations
With Gift Aid, our donation goes even further. Cats Protection can claim an extra 25% on top of every donation, meaning each 50p we donate becomes 62.5p at no extra cost to us.

One week (7 visits) = £3.50 donated (with Gift Aid: £4.38)
